Pastor: Rev. Frank Thacker, a native of Reidsville, NC, was called to serve as pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in 2003. Bro. Frank was saved in 1967 at the age of 11. His dad led him to the Lord. Bro. Frank began to serve the Lord in a variety of ministries including the bus ministry, youth visitation, and singing in the youth choir. He was called to preach in 1972 while attending a Youth Retreat at Camp Caraway in Asheboro, NC. Upon graduating from John M. Morehead High School in Eden in 1973 he enrolled in Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated in 1978 with a B.S. in Religious Education. He was ordained into the ministry in 1980 and has served churches in Alamance, Davie, Orange, and Randolph Counties. He also holds a Master’s Degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Rev. Thacker has also taught in the Piedmont Bible College (Evening School) and the Greensboro Bible Institute. He has also taught in several Christian and public schools over the last twenty years. He has held revival meetings in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia He is married to Brenda Bearden Thacker and they have two married children, Jon and Angie Thacker of Greensboro and Will and Rebekah King of Reidsville, NC
